Terms of Use
Last updated 5 August 2026
The Times of Our Lives (timelives.co.uk) is a private, invitation-only service for keeping family photo timelines. It is run by an individual as a personal project, free of charge. By using it you agree to what follows — which is short, because the arrangement is simple.
Getting in
Access is by invitation. Accounts are personal: don’t share your sign-in with anyone else. Invitation and group links are keys — anyone holding one can join what it points at, so pass them on only to people you mean to include.
Your photos
They stay yours. Adding a photo here doesn’t give anyone else ownership of it; it gives the service permission to store and display it to you, and to whomever you choose to share it with. Add only photographs you have the right to add, and be thoughtful about other people in them — particularly children, and particularly when sharing to a group.
Other people’s photos
If someone shares a timeline with a group you belong to, you may look at it. You may not copy, download, publish or pass on their photographs without asking them. If they offer you copies and you accept, those copies are yours to keep — but the same courtesy applies to anyone else who appears in them.
Fair use
Don’t use the service to upset or harass anyone, to store anything unlawful, or to attempt to reach material that isn’t shared with you. Accounts that do may be removed.
No guarantees
This is a personal project offered as-is and free. Every reasonable care is taken with your photographs, but the service comes with no warranty and might be interrupted, changed, or discontinued. To the extent the law allows, the person running it isn’t liable for loss arising from its use.
Please keep your own copies. This is a place to arrange and share family photographs, not your only copy of them.
Ending
Leave whenever you like: delete your timelines, or ask at the address below to have your account and its contents removed. Accounts that go unused, or that break these terms, may be closed.
Law and contact
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Questions: admin@timelives.co.uk.
